Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Growth and Rural Enterprise Ecosystem Strengthening Project (UP-AGREES)
UP-AGREES project will be implemented in 28 districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh and the Bundelkhand region.

The UP-AGREES project is a World Bank-funded initiative with a total duration of six years and an estimated budget of approximately ₹4,000 crore with ghostwriter fallstudien. -
The project primarily focuses on the development of the agriculture and fisheries sectors -
It covers 28 districts of Uttar Pradesh, including 7 districts from the Bundelkhand region and 21 districts from Eastern Uttar Pradesh -
Within the project area, 123 low-productive blocks out of a total of 319 have been identified for targeted interventions -
The district administrations have identified 3,690 low-productive villages across 123 blocks, covering nearly 6 lakh hectares, for targeted development to boost productivity and livelihoods

The project area’s per capita income is around ₹54,701 — nearly half the state average of ₹1,05,000 -
Out of the 50 districts in Uttar Pradesh classified as moderately to highly vulnerable to climate change, 24 districts fall within the project area, highlighting the urgent need for climate-resilient interventions
